If you want to keep track of how you're spending your time, then you need Time Everything. If you need to keep track of...
o Billable hours
o Children's TV time
o Children's homework
o Time spent exercising
o Household chores
o Travel time
o Labour contractions
o Sleep patterns
o Noisy dogs barking
... or anything else you can think of timing, then Time Everything can do it for you.
Create as many tasks as you like and as many timings as you require. Time events that are happening simultaneously. Time Everything will keep track of when you did it, and for how long you did it.
Time Everything allows you export timing data to iTunes as a Comma Separated Variable (.csv) file. From there you can import it into a spreadsheet program for detailed analysis or making graphs, for example.
Time Everything in action
1. To create a new task press the + button, located at the top right of the screen. Pressing the > button on the right of the New Task row will bring you to a new screen where you can give the task a name and start the timer.
2. You can time any number of tasks simultaneously. You can also create new tasks while others are being timed. Any task that is currently being timed will have a stopwatch icon displayed to its left on the list of tasks.
3. When you stop timing a particular task the duration will be added to the total time spend on that task. You can add a note to each individual timing so as to distinguish it from others. You can sort timings for a particular task by date or duration, and you can also filter a list of timings between a start and end time of your choice.
4. It is possible to manually enter a timing for a task. To do this you must first navigate to the appropriate task, where you start and stop the timer to create a dummy timing. You can then edit the start and end times using the date and time pickers to input the actual time you require. You may need to do this when you did not have your iPhone to hand when a task/event occurred, but you did take note of the start/end times.
5. When your device is connected to your computer, click on its icon in iTunes. Click on the Apps tab (to the right of Summary). Time Everything will appear in the File Sharing section as an app that can transfer documents to your computer. Click on the Everything icon, then select the .csv file that appears on the right and save it to your computer. There are many tutorials available on the internet detailing how you can then import this .csv file into a spreadsheet program, like Excel.
